RENAULT TRUCKS AT SMOLENSK

Назад

The 7th stage of the European Truck Racing Championship took place this weekend in Smolensk, Russia under a blazing sun and sweltering heat.

In the first race on Saturday, Markus Bösiger came 3rd followed by Adam Lacko. Markus Bösiger was forced to abandon the second race as a result of his turbo catching fire, while Markus Östreich in 4th place was the victim of a violent collision that catapulted him into the safety rail destroying the front of the truck and bending the rear axle. The team of Renault Trucks - MKR Technology mechanics had to work all night to enable these two trucks to take part on Sunday.

On Sunday morning all the trucks lined up at the start of the Superpole and the two Markus's (Östreich and Bösiger) took 3rd and 4th place respectively. Bösiger will finish up in 3rd place from the first race followed by Adam Lacko! The second race will remain one of the highlights of the weekend. Bösiger takes second place ahead of driver Antonio Albacete.

At the end of this grand prix, the Renault Trucks MKR Technology team is still the team in first place overall with Adam Lacko the 3rd place driver overall.

The next weekend of racing for the European Truck Racing Championship will be held at Most, in the Czech Republic.
