Truck Racing: A victory and a new range

For the fourth meeting in this year's European Truck Racing Championship, the Renault Trucks-MKR Technology team left Austria with a first place to their credit. Adam Lacko pulled this off in race N°2. The meeting was also an opportunity for Renault Trucks to display two of its new model T vehicles and a variety of attractions around its new range.

At Spielberg, in the very heart of Austria, the Renault Trucks-MKR Technology team pulled off a splendid victory in race N°2, thanks to Adam Lacko. In race N°4, Markus Bösiger narrowly missed getting a place on the podium, finishing in fourth place. Adam Lacko, from the Renault Trucks-MKR Technology team, is now 6th in the overall rankings with 91 points and Markus Bösiger is 8th with 72 points.

For Renault Trucks, the meeting was also an opportunity to present its new range to an Austrian audience for the first time since the official launch in Lyon on 11 June, showing two models from its Long Distance Renault Trucks T spearhead range. Visitors were thus able to view a T 460 as well as a T 520 High Sleeper Cab version which features a totally flat floor.

Throughout the weekend, several attractions drew visitors into the Renault Trucks tent. The ever-popular truck racing simulators were used for a competition between budding racing drivers with a mini iPad as the prize. Another entertaining challenge was also organised to illustrate fuel consumption savings of up to 5% on the new Renault Trucks range, as well as a quiz to help visitors become more familiar with the new vehicles.

Renault Trucks is looking forward to meeting its fans and customers at the next truck racing event, on the Nürburgring track in Germany, on 13 and 14 July.
