Last weekend's third leg of the European Truck Racing Championship, the Albacete Grand Prix in Spain, gave Renault Trucks - MKR Technology and MKR Team 14 juniors the opportunity of claiming several podium places. These earned both teams valuable points which count towards the coveted "team championship" crown. After this weekend, Renault Trucks - MKR Technology is now N° 2 in the overall rankings, followed by MKR Team 14 Juniors. As for the individual drivers, Markus Oestreich finished 3rd in the overall rankings while Adam Lacko confirmed his potential with three podium places during the weekend's four races.

The Saturday races began well. During the first of them, Markus Oestreich, Adam Lacko and Markus Bösiger were all bunched together, raising high hopes that the men in black and red would pull off a one-two-three. Oestreich (2nd) and Lacko (3rd) made it to the podium. Bösiger had to make do with fourth place. During the second race on Saturday, the one with reverse order departure, Adam Lacko managed to keep his 3rd place. At the end of this team championship Saturday, the results were as follows: Renault Trucks - MKR Technology took the chequered flag during the first race, while the MKR Team 14 Juniors were first to cross the line at the end of Saturday's second race.

During the qualifications on Sunday, Markus Oestreich clocked up some excellent lap times, but was penalised for touching a marker. Adam Lacko once again caused quite a stir by reaching the second step of the podium. These two Sunday races therefore saw the MKR Team 14 Juniors win third place in the first race, while the two Markuses were first in the team rankings in the second.

Overall, this weekend saw the two teams chalk up a fine collection of podium places. This enables Markus Oestreich, with 103 points, to consolidate his 3rd place in the overall rankings, only 6 points behind the second. Renault Trucks - MKR Technology is now 2nd in the team rankings, only 9 points behind the first
